After working in the world of interior design in NYC for more than a decade, I launched Kate Snyder Studio in 2026.

In a way, I’ve been designing my whole life, starting with childhood experiments with color (hello Cornflower blue crayon on mom’s new wallpaper), to choosing paint colors for our whole house (my room was a bubble gum pink, fitting for the 90s). 

Since launching my studio, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients to transform their spaces, whether that’s a full home design or reconfiguring a single room. My approach focuses on thoughtful furniture layouts, balanced color palettes, and the essential last step of layering in accessories, art and vintage pieces to create unique, personal spaces.

Before pursuing design full time, I earned my business degree from the University of Richmond and spent more than 15 years in tech, sales & publishing – an invaluable experience in consulting with clients. I later earned my design degree from NYSID, and honed my craft at firms like Chango and Frampton Co, which helped inform my aesthetic: a melding of modern and traditional styles.
